Netflix

Netflix is the world’s most popular subscription service for watching TV shows and movies on your preferred device. The Netflix mobile app and smart tv app is one of the best videos on demand apps and delivers excellent user experience in online streaming. Get the free app as a part of your Netflix membership and you can instantly watch thousands of TV episodes & stream movies online on your mobile device.

Apple TV+

Apple TV+ is Apple’s original video subscription service which will be available from fall of 2019. It is undoubtedly a brand new home for the most creative artists from all over the world, showcasing many interesting and unique shows, movies, and documentaries. This online streaming service will be available exclusively on the Apple TV video on demand app.

Apple TV+ vs Netflix

How does the new online streaming subscription service differ from the world’s most popular video streaming service, Netflix? Will Apple TV+ really surpass the number of users of its toughest rival? Will Apple TV+ be the new “binge watch”?

Apple Tv+ vs Netflix: Availability and price

The availability and pricing for the Apple TV+ video subscription will be revealed later, in 2019 fall. The brand new Apple TV+ app will be launched for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV users in over 100 countries this May. The video on demand app would include a free software update for these devices and Mac as well. Family sharing would allow the customers to share the Apple TV+ and subscriptions to Apple TV channels.

Netflix is already available on a plethora of devices and multiple OS. Their online streaming service is available in over 190 countries. Up to five different users can have one account and two users can use the app at the same time. Netflix also has a family plan which allows four members in an account and all four can access the app simultaneously. These subscriptions are available on a weekly and monthly basis at $9 – $16 per month.

Apple Tv+ vs Netflix: Content

Many customers are very excited after watching some of the most celebrated artists including Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Aniston, Steven Spielberg, Octavia Spencer, Reese Witherspoon, J.J. Abrams and more at the keynote. Though the features and content of Apple TV+ is not revealed in depth yet, the glimpse was enough to attract many. Also, the Apple TV app will offer their customers to choose to subscribe to various channels like HBO, SHOWTIME, etc.

On the other hand, Netflix already has extensive and diverse movies and TV show episodes. Netflix is liked so much for its diverse content that it got its own lexicon – “Netflix and Chill”; Netflix is the go-to for binge-watchers and netizens who partly survive due to online streaming and video on demand apps. The content does vary from country to country and keeps changing from time to time but never disappoint its audiences.

Apple TV+ vs Netflix: User experience and features

Apple TV+ is yet to come in the fall of 2019, however, it seems that users shall have a great experience using it, given the involvement of who’s who of the entertainment industry. Also, Apple TV+ has promised that videos, shows, and movies will be available on demand and will be ad-free.

Netflix has been featuring trendsetting TV shows and movies for years now. Unlike Apple TV+, it is available to users on multiple devices and multiple OS. A user can also stop streaming a show on a device and start watching that particular video where they left it on another device. The recommended shows, collections based on various genres and your likings, all of it quite accurate and impressive.

Who wins? Apple TV+ or Netflix?

Now will be too soon to conclude that as Apple TV+ is not available to the users yet but Netflix must be prepared for the competition that’s going to come up between video-on-demand apps.
