About Elf Names Wiki
Elf Names Wiki generates elf names with their meaning and pronunciation, and keeps browsable lists and naming lore for eleven subraces β Wood Elf, Dark Elf, High Elf, Drow, Half-Elf, Sea Elf, Snow Elf, Night Elf, Blood Elf, Christmas Elf and Skyrim elves.
Elf Names Wiki is a name generator and an encyclopedia for elf names, built for people who need a name that fits a specific culture rather than a random string that merely sounds fantasy. Names are generated from the naming conventions of eleven subraces: Wood Elf, Dark Elf, High Elf, Drow, Half-Elf, Sea Elf, Snow Elf, Night Elf, Blood Elf, Christmas Elf and the elves of Skyrim. Each subrace has its own phonetic rules, so a Drow name does not come out sounding like a Wood Elf one. Every name comes with its meaning and a pronunciation guide, and you can constrain the result β pin the opening letters, the syllable count, the meaning you want it to carry, or a family name to match. If you would rather pick than roll, there are 1,278 hand-written names to browse, organised by subrace, by gender and by theme, each with pronunciation and meaning. A family generator builds an eight-member elf clan in one go, with roles, relationships and hooks a game master can use. Lore pages explain how elven names are actually constructed in D&D, The Lord of the Rings and The Elder Scrolls, and a naming guide covers the underlying patterns. Generating names, the name lists and the lore pages are free and need no account. The only paid product is the elf character card: a one-page sheet with a painted portrait matched to subrace, gender and your appearance notes, a 150β220 word backstory you can edit, the name's meaning and etymology, a spoken pronunciation clip, and a high-resolution PNG you can print, drop into a virtual tabletop or share. Cards cost $2.99 each, or three for $6.99, and a free preview drafts the meaning and backstory before you decide.
