Matic Network is evolving into Hire Polygon Matic Developers , Ethereum's Internet of Blockchains, by broadening its technological scope and mission. Existing Matic solutions are still operational and prioritized. The $MATIC token is still vital to the network's security and governance. The founders and team continue to work in the same way, with the addition of notable Ethereum developers, researchers, and community members.

Greetings, Matic Network supporters and members of the beloved crypto community!

Today is an important day for our project, perhaps the most significant in its brief but exciting history! Polygon, Ethereum's Internet of Blockchains, is proud and excited to announce that we are expanding our mission and technical scope.

What Exactly Is Matic?

Matic Network was founded in 2017 to assist in creating a better, more open world, primarily through the enhancement of Ethereum infrastructure. We believe Ethereum is one of the most promising and revolutionary technology projects globally, and we're dedicated to seeing it succeed. We've worked hard over the last three years to make that happen:

  • Matic Plasma Chains, a production-ready Ethereum Layer2 predicates-based Plasma implementation, was developed and offered by us.

  • Matic PoS Chain is a permissionless, EVM-compatible, PoS-secured Ethereum sidechain that relies on strong Ethereum security for validator staking and checkpoints, which we implemented and offered.

  • Polymarket, Aavegotchi, Neon District, Skyweaver, Cometh, and EasyFi are among the 80+ amazing applications that have been added to the platform, with more being added every day;

  • Powered 7 million transactions for 200 thousand user addresses, with daily transaction activity increasing;

  • We've safely stored more than $75 million in our users' accounts, and we're still counting.

  • As of today, developers have been awarded over $1 million in grants and contracts;

  • Sponsored and powered several well-known Ethereum conferences, hackathons, and other events.

We also learned a lot and came to some important conclusions along the way:

  • Because different projects require different scaling and infrastructure solutions, multiple scaling and infrastructure solutions will likely coexist in the long run.

  • The Ethereum scaling ecosystem is vibrant and well-developed; however, implementation complexities and a lack of structure prevent widespread adoption.

  • Some projects are experimenting with external ecosystems and solutions such as Polkadot, Cosmos, and Avalanche to overcome the obstacles mentioned above. The advantage of these ecosystems is that they are well structured compared to Ethereum's organic and somewhat chaotic scaling landscape. Still, the lack of synergy, security, and network effects are significant drawbacks.

To summarise, we found that most developers and projects prefer to build scaling solutions within the Ethereum ecosystem to take advantage of its security and network effects. They are, however, having difficulty navigating the unstructured scaling landscape and dealing with the implementation challenges. This is why we came up with the idea for Polygon and started working on it

What Is a Polygon, Exactly?

Polygon is the world's first well-structured, simple-to-use Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development platform. Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building and connecting two major types of solutions, is its core component.

  1. Scaling solutions that rely on Ethereum for security rather than establishing their validator pool are secured chains (also known as Layer 2 chains). Polygon will support other major Layer 2 solutions such as Optimistic Rollups, zkRollups, Validium, and others, effectively making it a one-of-a-kind "Layer 2 aggregator" in addition to the Plasma chains currently supported. Secured chains are ideal for (1) high-security applications and (2) startups or new projects and communities (unable to establish a sufficiently decentralized and secure validator pool).

  2. Stand-alone chains (also known as Sidechains) are self-contained Ethereum side chains that are typically fully responsible for their security, including their validator pool. Stand-alone chains provide the greatest level of independence and flexibility but at the expense of decentralization and security. The architecture of these chains can be tweaked so that they at least partially inherit Ethereum's security. The Matic, as mentioned above, POS Chain, which uses Ethereum for validator staking and periodic finality checkpoints, is a good example of such architecture. Stand-alone chains are frequently a good fit for:

  3. Businesses.

  4. Projects that do not require the highest level of security.

  5. Projects with a strong community (capable of establishing a sufficiently decentralized and secure validator pool).

Polygon SDK will also support and offer various auxiliary solutions and products that will enhance Polygon's functionality, improve developer experience, and add support for specific use cases. The following are some examples of such solutions and products:

  • Adaptors for external blockchain networks

  • App-specific modules

  • Enterprise modules and products

  • Interchain messaging protocols and modules

  • Data availability services

  • Shared security services

  • App-specific modules

  • Enterprise modules and products

  • Premium products and services for example.

Polygon effectively turns Ethereum into a fully functional multi-chain system (Internet of Blockchains). This multi-chain system is similar to others like Polkadot, Cosmos, Avalanche, and others, but it has three major advantages:

  • It can take full advantage of Ethereum's network effects. This is because it is built as an integral part of the Ethereum ecosystem, whereas the previous projects are competing ecosystems created from the ground up.

  • It is, by definition, more secure. Polygon's economic hub and source of security are Ethereum, the world's most secure and battle-tested programmable blockchain. In contrast to Ethereum, the competing projects are based on largely untested chains and are less expressive.

  • It's more open and powerful, especially in the architecture types it can support. This is because

(1) Polygon is built on Ethereum, which means it can easily incorporate any scaling or infrastructure solution from the Ethereum ecosystem

 (2) we fully support Ethereum's open innovation ethos and designed Polygon to achieve the same goals.

And what becomes of Matic?

Keeping the preceding in mind, it's critical to emphasize that all existing Matic solutions and implementations, primarily Matic PoS Chain and Matic Plasma Chains, are fully functional and will continue to be developed and grown as critical components of the Polygon ecosystem. These implementations will not be impacted or changed, and developers and end-users will not be required to take any action. We're simply expanding the suite of solutions we want to offer the community with Polygon. All existing solutions and implementations will continue to exist and function as integral parts of this expanded platform.

The $MATIC token will continue to exist in this new paradigm and play an increasingly important role in securing the system and enabling governance.

Suffescom Solution also Hire Dedicated ethereum Developer with confidence and skills.

Under the new brand, the founders and the Matic Network team will continue to work in the same manner. However, we are aware that to build Polygon and realize its powerful vision, we will require an even more formidable team. We are currently hiring (please do not hesitate to contact us!), and we'll be introducing several fantastic new members to the team shortly, so stay tuned!
