Staying at college this year has not been easy. The whole year started on the wrong foot, and slowly as time passed by; it got even worse. It began with wildfires and later escalated to a deadly pandemic. Students had to take online classes, and many even surrendered and started getting professional help after searching for pay someone to do my assignment UK. Things got confusing, and in the long run, it just became one giant mess. But, that's what happens when a deadly virus wreaks havoc and becomes a danger to humanity. Students who lived near their homes decided to go and take online classes from there, but international students or those who lived gar way had to stay on campus or wherever they lived. Quarantine has been rigid on all of us, especially the students living alone with limited means.

Campus life in the middle of a pandemic:

When students join college they feel so happy and relieved that they are finally going to live on their own and will enjoy every ounce of freedom. But this year 2020 has spoiled all their plans. Be it for travelling or for partying; everyone is confined inside their homes. In the past, before this pandemic, campus life used to be booming. Students would drink all night long, and there would be a lot of noises erupting form rooms where students are chilling or having fun with their friends. The whole experience of campus life has now been ruined, and it isn't the same as what it used to be. All those students who just begun college or university and get freaked out by the empty hallways and its deafening silence right now, this is not how it used to be. And as soon as things get better, you will get to experience the real college life. But in the meantime, you need to be entirely cautious to stay safe. Keep reading to see how you can practice social distancing while staying on campus.

Practical ways to implement social distancing while staying on campus:

•Leave a gap in between you and others:

When you go to classes that are on campus, do not sit with your friends but instead leave some room in between. It is said by WHO to maintain a distance of 6ft to stay protected from the coronavirus. Make sure you stand apart and by no means sit near someone else. Leave 3 to 4 seats in between every student as this way you will be out of their reach. You can also sanitise your seats thoroughly before sitting and make sure that the desk is extra clean since that is where your hands will be resting. If you live off-campus and are going to take your physical classes, ensure that your ride there is safe and that the driver is taking full precautions.

•Limit your interactions by staying inside:

You can't live one place without interacting with the people there. You will have to face the landlord, and you will have to go down to collect your mail. While all this is taking place, you need to limit your interactions. You cannot go out willingly to hang out with your friends or to take a breath of fresh air and catch up with your neighbours. It is crucial that you stay inside and do not meet anyone because you would not know where they have been. If they were recently in touch with someone who had Covid-19, you might get infected, which is why it is better to be safe than sorry.

•Go out once a week with proper precautions:

When you live in a student dorm, limit the number of times you go outside. In case you need things, plan them in a way so you can everything for the week at once. Make one trip to the store and get everything you need from food to other necessities. You can allot one day for yourself where you just run chores and errands and get everything done. This way you will know what day you need to go out and you can choose a time in which there are fewer people outside. Generally, on weekends, superstores and other shops are empty in the morning since people wake up late. So the best possible time to avoid rush hour is to run all your errands before it starts to get crowded.

•Get everything done yourself:

Do not rely on the campus maid to come and clean your room for you. In many colleges or building, there are designated cleaners who come and clean for you or do basic chores such as bring mail to your door. Cut all these services off and instead do these things yourself, so there are fewer chances of interaction with another person. If you are someone who regularly gets food delivered, stop doing that since it involves a lot of people. Make your coffee or food at home. Not only will you save money doing that, but you will also be able to stay safe from coronavirus.

•Avoid inviting friends over or going to their place:

If you are staying alone and do not have a roommate, you will find that practising social distancing is getting tougher. You will begin to miss all your friends or family, and sooner or later you will  losing your mind. But no matter how lonely you feel, do not host friends get together. You can talk to your friends on call via face time or a video call but do not go to one another's place just to hang out. This will put you at risk since you do not know if they are a carrier or have themselves gotten infected. It is better to be safe, which is why, make sure you deal with his situation patiently and sooner or later it will all pass.

In the beginning, it might have felt like it is the end of the world which is what prompted may people to stop social distancing. Students started meeting their friends which made it difficult to contain the spread. It is time that everyone of us act responsibly and play our part so we can all get rid of this deadly virus as soon as possible. If you follow the precautions given above, you will be able to keep yourself safe from getting infected.
