Quantum encryption specialists Arqit has been all over the news lately, and it is easy to see why! Having followed Arqit’s story for quite some time, I was already pretty convinced I was on to a winner. But, after reading a very interesting article by Market Realist, I decided it was about time I voiced my thoughts the only way I know how - in a good old blog. Basically, I am here in the deep dark depths of the internet to give you some free investing tips. You are welcome.

First of all, a little background on Arqit.

Arqit Limited (‘Arqit’) supplies a unique (and so far unparalleled) quantum encryption Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) which protects the communications links to and from any networked device completely secure. The PaaS (known as QuantumCloud™) is capable of protecting devices against all current and future forms of attack, including those enabled by a quantum computer.

QuantumCloud™ works by enabling your device to download a lightweight software agent. This agent can then create ‘quantum encryption keys’ which basically render all communications completely unreadable. The keys are completely unique, one-time, zero-trust, and are only formed at the exact point they are needed (the endpoint of your communication). This means they are completely unbreakable, even by quantum computers.

Following a merger with Centricus Acquisition Corp. (CENH), Arqit is now listed on the NASDAQ under the symbol ‘ARQQ’. Furthermore, anyone previously holding shares in CENH will soon (if they haven't already) see those stocks change over to ARQQ.

Now you know who they are, here are my top seven reasons Arqit is a worthy investment…

1. They’ve Developed A Truly Unique Solution To A Global Problem

There is no one else in the market right now with a solution like QuantumCloud™ and, quite frankly, I don’t see one on the horizon. I know, I am not the expert, but do the research for yourself, it doesn’t seem like there’s anything close to this solution coming into the market anytime soon. Even the so-called ‘Post-Quantum Cryptography’ solutions NIST is investing so hard in right now are no match for sophisticated quantum technology. Why? Because they still rely on public-key algorithms, which can literally never be fully “quantum-safe” as they are not zero-trust.

2. They Aren’t Greedy

Arqit isn’t just here for the money. They’re not looking to diversify as quickly and hard as possible to make more money from their technology. They have a “one product that works” approach that I have huge respect for. Unlike so many companies listed on NASDAQ right now, these guys are showing no signs of begging for investments, which is a welcome breath of fresh air.

3. This Is Not Just Any Start-Up

Arqit might be pretty new to the scene, but they are far from inexperienced. In fact, the two co-founders (ironically both named David) have a plethora of experience in the tech, quantum, and space fields - literally the ideal combination for Arqit’s area of expertise.

Here’s a little background knowledge on the company’s co-founders (courtesy of their website and a little further digging):

CEO and co-founder David Williams previously founded and served as chairman of the Advisory Board of Seraphim Space Ventures (a high technology venture capital firm supported by the UK government). He also co-founded Avanti Communications, a start-up company that pioneered the use of Ka-band high throughput satellites (HTS), providing a huge increase in flexibility and in-orbit reconfiguration capacity. The actions of Avanti were recognized by the Royal Aeronautical Society, which awarded the Company a Silver Medal in 2011. David was granted the Quoted Company Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2006, and then the Queen's Award for Export in 2015. the Quoted Company Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2006.

Then there’s Williams’ co-founder and Arqit’s CTO, David Bestwick. This guy was named one of the ‘Top 51 CTO’s Transforming The World OF Quantum Tech’ by Quantum Daily; worked at BAE Systems on a range radio, radar, telecommunications, mechatronics, and microelectronics projects; and supported the commercialization of Earth Observation satellite data at VEGA. Most recently (pre-Arqit), David co-founded Avanti Communications with Williams. As if this wasn’t enough, David has also advised the European Space Agency on its telecommunications research strategy and sits on the Board of the Quantum Technology Industry Group. Yep, this guy knows his stuff.

4. They’ve Already Got Billions In Signed Contracts

Alongside the income from its well-known partnerships with Babcock and Denton, Arqit has a whole lot more to come in terms of guaranteed and expected revenue.

According to Market Realist, the organization has already signed over $130 million in contracts. These contracts include deals with the European Space Agency, BT Group, Sumitomo, and the UK and US governments. And this is just the signed stuff. Arqit’s pipeline consists of almost $1 billion in upcoming contracts.

5. They’ve Got The Government On-Side

This is a simple one. With backing from both the UK and US governments, it is pretty hard to imagine Arqit being anything less than a hit. After all, what business would not want to equip themselves with the same security measures adopted by national security specialists? Arqit will make this possible.

6. It’s Not Just About Now

Given that the product they have in hand right now is also guaranteed to protect us from many of the cyber security threats of the future, you might expect the Arqit team to take it easy for now. The reality is quite the opposite, though. They’re not stopping where they are. Already planning the next iteration of their quantum encryption technology, the company aims to launch a range of quantum encryption satellites together with Richard Branson's ‘Virgin Orbit’ by 2023.

7. They Don’t Need Your Money

This might sound a bit nuts, but Arqit literally doesn't need your money. They’re not listing themselves on Nasdaq desperate for more funds (hence why they don't have to beg for stock purchases). According to David Williams himself, Arqit has more than double the funds it needs to expand and develop the QuantumCloud™ product as planned. They’re just out here to get their solution into the hands of as many businesses as possible to secure our hyperconnected world.

And there you have it, seven very good reasons to invest.

Not convinced? That’s fine, it’s your money after all and you’ve got to look after it. I have left all my sources below, plus a few additional articles that might help you decide if this is the right stock for you.
