UberMOTO Bike service Launched in Bengaluru, fares as low as Rs 3/km

UberMOTO Launched in Bengaluru

Uber Technologies Inc.  online taxi dispatch company paved its way into bike taxi service wherein you can order an Uber two-wheeler as you do with cars by just selecting the UberMOTO option in your app and you’ll have a two-wheeler pop over in minutes. This service is launched as pilot project in Bengaluru from thursday and before this Bangkok had this Uber service  

The most astonishing thing about the launch was the fare. According to Uber the minimum fare on this platform will be Rs.15, with an additional fare of Rs. 3 per kilometre and Re. 1 per minute. The service will be available in select areas of Bangalore, between 7am and 9pm. The person who owns bike or two-wheeler can become driver on this cool platform.  

uberMOTO is available only in selective parts of the city.

Highlights

The company said its standard product safety features, which include GPS tracking, two-way feedback and the ability to share trip details with family and friends, will be available for uberMOTO as well. Customers will have the option of paying by cash, credit card, debit card, mobile wallet or Airtel money. On driver payments, Uber takes a 20 percent commission for providing its technology to match riders with drivers.

Uber launched a in Bangkok about a month ago and returned great success. This great initiative by uber is being looked as a way to combat traffic and pollution woes.
