Attracting students for Internship

It makes the novice entrepreneurs to put their fingers in every box which gives an impression of extracting out a profit.

After the fundraising and earning investors for their startups, the hurdle comes in the package of management. Here are the few ways:

Stipend

If Earth revolves around the Sun then the today’s generation revolves around money. It is not essentially money-mindedness, which would be a very shallow thing even to consider, it is more of a rationality and the drive to become Independent. Today’s youth is a package of hard work and excellence, chiselled by competition. Offering them a respectable amount for their services would undoubtedly attract them to your startup.

Be Straightforward And Clear

Clarity is praised by all, and as a startup it is the base to build the home of trust and unity. One must avoid any kind of deceiving as it would not only manifest you in a bad light but make your investors question their trust in you. Trust must be on the receiving ends of both- the employer and the employee.

Learning Environment

Where money is an important tool, the asset which outruns the capital for students is ‘knowledge’. The internship is of no use to them if they are not satisfied with the learning possibilities with your startup, and you may lose the access to good interns.

Certificate

The need of internship certificate is very important for college students, with regards to, make their CV more presentable and approachable for the jobs they would seek later. The provision of certificate after the end of the internship would attract more talented students in the search for a serious internship.

Do Not Bore

Working for a startup can be a tedious task for the college students. They are young minds with lots of energy to burn off and when provided with the same monotonous tasks, the chances of their backing out of the internship rises up to 90%. Challenging their abilities would be a positive approach to keeping them engaged. It will not only make them grow but will show them the mirror of their capabilities which would make them try harder and become better.

Target Right

The ‘More in less’ motto would jump a notch higher if you would station your target right, and for this you need to understand the demand of your startup. If your startup is related to IT, then contacting IT colleges would prove lucrative. There are many colleges which would like their students to earn an experience. The two best things will happen:

  1. You’ll have the access of best students.
  2. They would not expect more than a certificate and an experience.

Promise Growth

Growth is not just important for your startup, it is directly proportional to all the employees working within. Promise the truth to them, about the growth they would see in themselves after the end of the internship they’ll be hired for, and how that would be helpful for them at present, and in the long term.
